Case Study - Old Vicarage New Year’s Eve
Event Details
For New Year’s Eve we supplied a marquee for a wedding in the grounds of a private Old Vicarage. With only 6 months planning time and a very tight walled garden to work with, a very bespoke marquee was required.
Event Brief
For 270 guests, the requirement was for a large formal dining with round tables including a dance floor with space for a band. This whole area required a star cloth ceiling. Then a link to the house including 4 steps down to the doors to the house where a large reception room within could be used for welcome dinks. Due to the time of year and the number of guests a covered portable luxury toilet area was required to the front of the house that linked to the same welcome drinks reception room. This then left no space for the caterers but the catering area needed to be rather large. And of course all of these areas required heating in case of frosty or cold weather.
The Outcome
An Installation of a total of 7 Stunning structures covering each element of the clients specification. Boarded floors, new red carpet, tables, chairs, black table linen, crockery, glassware, cutlery, catering equipment, linking marquees, Catering annex built in an adjoining field with links to the main marquee, Heating and pin spot lighting to tables and much more – all supplied by Chelsea Hire to make the day a huge success. With our on-site support throughout the planning, set up and the wedding day itself the wedding party could totally relax knowing every detail had been taken care of.
Client Feedback
It surprised us how warm the marquee was. We only used 1 of the 5 heaters and all of our guests has such a fabulous time. It transformed our house into the most elegant wedding venue and was unsure if it would work at first but all came together wonderfully. A perfect wedding and a perfect way to bring in the New Year!
